When Wendy Everly was six years old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right. She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole life begins to unravel — all because of Finn Holmes. Finn is a mysterious guy who always seems to be watching her. Every encounter leaves her deeply shaken...though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than she’d ever admit. But it isn’t long before he reveals the truth: Wendy is a changeling who was switched at birth — and he’s come to take her home. Now Wendy’s about to journey to a magical world she never knew existed, one that’s both beautiful and frightening. And where she must leave her old life behind to discover who she’s meant to become....
This book was super good. I've read a lot of reviews for it and they're either really positive or they down right hate it. I thought that the story line was really original. I mean I haven't read too many books about Trylle. You'll know what I'm talking about if you get 20 pages in.
I loved Finn with all my heart. I'm not even exaggerating. Although, just like the last book I read, this sounds extremely romantic and then once you read it there is hardly any romance at all, which bugged me.
I thought the plot pace was good, but there wasn't a clear plot line. At the beginning there was but after she "takes a journey to a magical world she never knew existed" it gets a little muddled and you're left sitting there like "what the heck is going on?!".
Not many questions were answered, actually I don't think any were. And as much as it was frustrating Wendy, it was frustrating me even more.
Although, I did find some faults in this book, at the end of the day, I still really enjoyed it.
